Know Your AWS Cloud Carbon Footprint

If you stop or delete what you are not using in cloud, then you are saving energy which means you are reducing carbon emission, which means you are playing your part in making this planet more sustainable. This lasting impact on environment can now be kept track of by using AWS Customer Carbon footprint tool.

It's a free tool by AWS, and can be accessed in your account within AWS Billing Console and click Cost & Usage Reports.

This tool perfectly aligns with sustainability pillar of AWS which is all about energy consumption and its impact on environment. As per Jeff Barr, "If you are an AWS customer, then you are already benefiting from our efforts to decarbonize and to reach 100% renewable energy usage by 2025, five years ahead of our original target.".
